Look at each picture in order to the end. The tow boat is approaching the bridge with barges loaded with coal.
This frame gives you an idea how fast the river is running. At or near flood stage.
Oh crap!!!! The bridge didn't open and the boat can't stop. Notice the tug has released the barges. He is backing as hard as possible to try and avoid collision with the bridge.
Can't back down enough against the current.
Uh Oh! The current has spun the boat around side ways.
The cook thinks something maybe isn't quite right.

Notice anything unusual? Look at the smoke coming from the smoke stack. This thing is still running.

Notice the prop wash at the rear of the tug. The boat is upright and now under power. Ho hum, just another day on the river.You suppose the captain had to clean his pants after this?
